Adoptable Birds

Hatched in 2019 This little lady was bonded, however her mate crossed the feathered rainbow bridge. Lightning was surrendered to SPR in hopes she could have a cage mate again. The ideal home would be one that already has a budgie, or one willing to adopt Lightning along side of another budgie. Lightning is fully flighted, we are sure she got her name due to her fast wing speed! Her diet consists of budgie seed. Has been in foster care since July 16th 2024 More information to come*

Joe hatched in 2021 Pat hatched in 2020 These little fellas are quite content staying in their cage. With their cage door open, they will just sit on their perch and look at the world around them. Joe is quite skittish and has no flight feathers on his right side. Their diet currently consist of Budgie seed supplemented with Prime Vitamins. Have been in foster care since July 27th 2024 More information to come on these fella's!

Hatched in 2022 Kirby is the sweetest little girl! She is known for flying over and sitting on her human friends shoulders, hands or head! She enjoys roaming freely during the day to fly around and take bird baths in a clear container with warm water. Kirby loves to be apart of the conversation, so if people are around her while on the phone or visiting, Miss Kirby will surely be a little chatter box in the background! At night she feels most comfortable in her covered cage and hanging out on a boing. Her diet currently consists of Hagen Budgie Seed supplemented with Prime Vitamins. She loves carrots, red peppers and cantaloupe! Has been in foster care since July 17th 2024

Hatched in 2023 Daisy has a strong personality! She knows what she likes, and does exactly that! She loves being out of her cage, and is a "black belt" escape artist! Seriously! She will attempt to chew through wires and climb through vents if not supervised. Daisy clearly has places to go! She has her own agenda! She is a bit skittish, so a perfect home would be with a family who has time to allow Miss Daisy to build trust and develop a bond. Has a history of showing dominance towards other birds. When it is bed time, Daisy will sleep on her swing in her covered cage. Her diet currently consists of Hagen Budgie Seed supplemented with Prime Vitamins. Rooster has a small vocabulary consisting of "Rooster pooster" "What ya doing?" "Hi". Rooster is bonded, and to be adopted with Stormy. Diet consists of Harrison pellets. Free flight in previous home.

Anyone looking to adopt a wonderful ready made flock of male budgies? They are the sweetest boys. Some will step up on your finger. Coco and Wisher are 4 years old. Salt and Pepper are 3 years old. They like to be out of their cage for a daily flight. Their diet insists of leafy vegetables, any green vegetable, and seeds supplemented with Prime vitamin. They come with a large flight cage. Ideally we would like them to go as a flock, but would consider splitting them up to adopt as pairs.

Sparky is a 14 year old, presumed male, hand tamed conure. He’s had only one owner. Sparky likes most kinds of fresh vegetables and fruit. He loves to cuddle in your hair. He’s not the best flyer, but I’m sure that’ll improve once he gets some confidence and practice. He’s a very sweet bird and would love to be part of a family that will give him a loving, safe home.

PENDING ADOPTION Shiva is an 8 year old, hand tame green cheek conure who loves being out of the cage. He gives kisses, says “birds,” pretty birds”, “give kiss”, and laughs once he's warmed up to you. ☺️ Does not like dogs. Good with kids. Shiva likes music, especially Sweet Caroline, and will dance and attempt to sing, lol.

Blue is a 4 year old, male, green cheek conure. He’s somewhat quiet for a conure. Doesn’t overly vocalize. His primary diet is Roudybush Maintenance Mini or Crumble pellets and Harrison’s Lifetime Fine. He also gets appropriate portions of various nuts, apples, blueberries, and the occasional citrus treat. He likes plain steamed rice or plain boiled potato. Blue gets a sprinkle of ground flax on his fresh food. His treats consist of Nutriberries, a small amount of sunflower seeds, or a bit of grape or banana. Blue is a kind little bird that is still quite mistrustful of hands. He will bite as a last resort. He loves being outside his cage. He seems to be okay with other birds and dogs. Blue needs a home with someone with a lot of patience, and won’t push expectations of handling or cuddling. He will eventually come around when you earn his trust. Vern is a male budgie @ 3 years old. He suffered an attack from a cat about a year ago and suffered major wing damage. He’s been checked out by an avian vet and is cleared for adoption. He’s a happy wee fellow who would do best in a home with other budgies. He gets along good with his cage mate, Geoff, but easily adapts to other budgies. He will require pain medication once a day for the rest of his life. He’s a real trouper about taking his meds. Because he’s a special case, we would prefer applicants with experience in giving meds. Molly is another of our found and unclaimed female budgies. ☹️. She’s an adorable tiny lady who would love to go to a home with other female budgies. Please let us know if you’d be interested in adding Molly to your current feathered flock.
