Why Foster?

Fostering with Saskatoon Parrot Rescue is one of the most rewarding ways to help birds in need—and we make it as easy as possible for you to get started!
We provide everything you’ll need, including the cage, food, toys, and perches, so there are no costs to you. Your focus can just be on giving your foster bird a safe, caring place to land.

You’ll also have the option to take your foster bird to their vet appointments, which is a great way to stay involved in their care. Plus, you’re never on your own—we keep in regular contact, and you’ll have support from a dedicated member of our Board of Directors whenever you need it.

Whether you’ve had birds before or you’re brand new, fostering is an amazing way to make a real difference. Every foster home helps a parrot feel safe, build trust, and get one step closer to finding their forever home.
